Collette - Paradise Kennels - Havanese, Dachshunds, Pomeranians, Cockapoos and Maltese

Collette's love of dogs began at the age of four. Her brother returned home from the army with a black German Shepherd named Peter. She was very curious of this new family member and was even a little jealous of all the attention he received. That summer everything changed when she wandered off and fell into her family's pool and was unable to swim.

Peter, who never let Collette out of his sight, jumped into the pool and swam directly to her. She grabbed on to his fur and he pulled her out of the pool.

"We care about our dogs because they aren't just our business they are our pets. We work hard, long hours to ensure that our dogs and puppies are cared for properly. When a mother is in labour we will sit with her for hours to comfort her."

Husband and wife team Dean and Denise are true animal lovers. Over the years they have bred birds, hamsters, sheep, cats and even fish and snails. Being dog lovers it seemed only natural to breed them.

For fifteen years Liese and Suzy have specialized in the Linnois. After 20 years of breeding the loveable Bernese Mountain Dog, Liese saw a Linnois for the first time and fell in love with the good-natured toy breed. Suzy had already been breeding Linnois for 5 years before they starting breeding them together.

Six years ago at the Westminster Dog Show, the Chinese Crested breed stole Patricia's heart and inspired her to become a professional breeder. While she still breeds Chinese Cresteds she mainly breeds Maltese and Ky-Leos now.
