To provide our Customers with a selection of healthy puppies and kittens and to educate them on all aspects of pet care in a comfortable and caring environment with knowledgeable and well-trained Pet Care Specialists.

2) Provide the best warranty health program for every puppy and kitten.

3) Encourage a team-oriented approach in providing our customers with outstanding service.

4) Select puppies and kittens from inspected kennels and homes that meet or exceed CVMA guidelines for kennel practices.

5) Provide detailed training and coaching for our Pet Care Team.

Our Availability

We have been bringing puppies and families together for over 35 years and look forward to assisting you at any one of our Edmonton locations.

Our selection includes your favorites such as Yorkshire Terriers, Shih Tzus, Golden and Labrador Retrievers, Pomeranians, Maltese, and many more.

We also specialize in designer percentage pets such as your favorite Poodle mixes (shih poos, cock-a-poos, schnoodles, shih ten-bichon, boston pug (bugs), and many more.

Where do our puppies come from?

All of our puppies are locally bred and raised by western Canada breeders who we have been working with us for many years. They are inspected by our head puppy purchaser and must adhere to our strict guidelines. The dogs live either in the home or in a kennel just outside the home and are loved and cherished throughout their lifetime.

We are dedicated to responsible pet ownership.

One of the many things PJ's does to curb pet overpopulation and promote responsible pet ownership is our spay / neuter incentive program. All of our new puppy and kitten owner's are entitled to a $25.00 PJ's gift certificate for puppies or $10.00 gift certificate for kittens when they have provided us with verification that their pet has been spayed or neutered.

In addition to the weekly veterinarian visits, Each store is inspected and evaluated at random by the local SPCA. You will find the most recent SPCA evaluations in each of our stores.

PJ's Puppy Warranty Information

Our puppies come from kennels and homes that follow the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) Guidelines for Kennel Practices.

We have a Veterinarian who visits our stores on a weekly basis to vaccinate and examine all puppies and kittens and to ensure the health for our existing pets.

All our puppies come with a 2 year health warranty for maximum coverage up to $2000 or $3000 for hereditary/congenital birth defect and the treatment for an illness attributed to the kennel environment. The Customer is required to take their new pet to the Riverbend Vet Clinic for a pre-paid physical exam within 5 days of purchase.

In addition to our extensive warranty coverage we recommend all pet owners to invest in pet insurance as most illnesses and accidents are unforeseeable.
