| Summary |
- Provide outstanding, knowledgeable customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently.

| Responsibilities |
- Promptly greet and welcome each and every customer
- Seek out customer interaction/contact
- Display appropriate body language at all times
- Genuinely thank each and every customer
- Answer the incoming phone calls in a professional manner
- Maintain register stock to ensure appropriate levels of consumables are available
- Promote an awareness of all corporate and in-store promotions and advertising
- Maintain a clean and well-organized customer service desk/cash lane
- Vacuum, sweep floors and empty trash daily (if assigned)
- Maintain PJ’s Pets image by adhering to the uniform guidelines
- Balance daily cash flow, debit card and credit card transactions
- Safeguarding the company and its assets against fraudulent credit card activity and counterfeit money
- Attempt to identify possible fraudulent activity and communicate this information with your manager
- Adhere to the commission structure claims and rules
- Ensure that the proper employee sales number is assigned to all sales
- Be aware of your surroundings at all times and maintain health & safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for customers and employees alike

- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, unpleasant odors and loud noises
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, such as, but not limited to animal bites or disease, which require following basic safety precautions
- Moderate physical activity, lifting up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking from more that 4 hours per day
