Summary
  • Provide outstanding, knowledgeable customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Promptly greet and welcome each and every customer
  • Seek out customer interaction/contact
  • Display appropriate body language at all times
  • Genuinely thank each and every customer
  • Answer the incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Maintain register stock to ensure appropriate levels of consumables are available
  • Promote an awareness of all corporate and in-store promotions and advertising
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized customer service desk/cash lane
  • Vacuum, sweep floors and empty trash daily (if assigned)
  • Maintain PJ’s Pets image by adhering to the uniform guidelines
  • Balance daily cash flow, debit card and credit card transactions
  • Safeguarding the company and its assets against fraudulent credit card activity and counterfeit money
  • Attempt to identify possible fraudulent activity and communicate this information with your manager
  • Adhere to the commission structure claims and rules
  • Ensure that the proper employee sales number is assigned to all sales
  • Be aware of your surroundings at all times and maintain health & safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for customers and employees alike

Environmental Conditions
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, unpleasant odors and loud noises
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, such as, but not limited to animal bites or disease, which require following basic safety precautions
  • Moderate physical activity, lifting up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking from more that 4 hours per day
